Tatuaje De Alma LLC is a locally owned business consulting firm founded by Karina Ezmeralda Ortega. With over a decade of experience in business operations and people management, I’ve dedicated my expertise to supporting new business owners in Utah’s underserved communities.

My passion for this work started at home. I was only two years old when my grandmother opened her first restaurant to provide for our family. Growing up in a small family business, I saw the challenges firsthand. I did it all—from bussing tables and washing dishes to eventually handling bookkeeping, payroll, and marketing.

That hands-on experience led me to pursue a degree in Business Management from the University of Utah. During my studies, I realized that knowing how to manage people is the real secret to any company's success. To sharpen that focus, I later earned a Master’s in Human Resource Management from the University of Southern California.

Throughout my career, I found myself missing the unique camaraderie and "family feel" that only a small business provides. I missed the genuine joy of helping people chase their version of the American Dream.

Today, Tatuaje De Alma LLC partners with small, local businesses throughout the Salt Lake City area. While I have a special place in my heart for neighborhoods like Rose Park and Glendale, I’m proud to serve all of Salt Lake County. My goal is to help owners hit their targets faster and give families the peace of mind that comes with having someone truly looking out for their success.

I chose the name Tatuaje De Alma because I wanted my business to reflect who I am. I’ve always worn my heart on my sleeve—both metaphorically and physically. I bring that same level of passion and authenticity to every client I work with.
